'Mad Dog'

After this story took place, "Mad Dog" probably would be an apt nickname for Wayne.

But why the hell would people call him that prior to him standing up to Frank Milo ? He's a complete pushover.

The only explanation was if people used it to tease him, but even his pal Mike uses it...

That just doesn't make any sense.

I am not a complete idiot. Some parts are missing.

i think its an ironic nickname given to him because of how passive he is.

Irony?

I don't think it's particularly a way to tease; it's just that he's so timid they decided to give him a nickname that would be the last thing expected by anyone who met him.

It's like, say someone's a virgin, and right after they first have sex their buddies take to calling them Casanova. There's no malice in it because they're highlighting something good, but it's still hilariously inaccurate because that person only slept with one partner and Casanova had thousands.

It's made from bits of real panther, so you know it's good...

heh I think it'd be a more apt analogy to call the virgin Casanova. The guy was a complete puss-n-boots

When they get phone call in the police station De Niro sleeps all the time on the desk ? It is a sarcasm to tease him I guess

I remember Milo saying to him ,he's got always someone to fight for him.He is passive not ambitious about being a police.
