O'Grady's death

I don't own the rights to "Leprechaun" but this is my death scene for Dan O'Grady cause he is one of my favorite characters:

Dan O Grady sat there, staring at a picture of his wife and thinking back to happier times. he had been in this rest home for nearly ten years since that terrible night the leprechaun killed his wife and nearly killed him, but he managed to seal the wicked sprite away by placing a four leaf clover on the crate and then, while attempting to burn it, suffered a massive stroke which left him wheelchair bound now. As he sat there, he wondered what had happened to his home since then when suddenly a sound came from the hallway. "Nurse?" O Grady called, but there was no answer. he frowned, but went back to his picture when it suddenly came again, a faint sound like a small chuckle. This time, his curiosity got the better of him, and he wheeled his chair over to the door and slowly opened it. Peering out into the dark hallway, he saw nothing but shadows on the white clinic walls but proceeded further. He wheeled into the hallway, his chair creaking with every turn. Suddenly he heard it again, somewhat louder than before now, and now his heart pounded his chest and he turned and saw.....nothing. Just when he had got his panic under control, the window in front him smashed open! O Grady shrieked and fell out of his chair. getting to one elbow, he looked and saw with growing terror a sight he had mercifully nearly forgotten: the small green brimmed hat, the small dwarf like body, and the golden buckles of the black shoes It was the Leprechaun, come to finished what began ten years ago and it smiled it wicked grin and laughed heartily as it said "Top of the morning, Danny me boy! you remember me? you well should. you locked me in that crate, and got away barely. well now i've gotcha this time. prepare to die!" O Grady shouted defiantly to the sprite: "I knew you'd be back, you little green monster! and now you shall meet your own end." O Grady threw open his shirt pocket revealing a spare 4 leaf clover he had retrieved from the patched beside the well after hiding the gold. he looked back, but the leprechaun was gone, and he said "this time i'll kill you for good." he forced himself back into his chair, sweat pouring from his face, and then wheeled toward the end of the hall. he looked, but saw no one. so far, so good he thought, and by the elevator he caught a glimpse of the green hat and thought "Perfect setup" he advanced slowly, and got to the end and shouted "Die you monster!!" and tossed the clover. no leprechaun. the hat was on a broom and cart!!! before he had time to realize his mistake, the small being was upon him, and he knocked from his chair and onto his back. He felt the small claws digging into his face, and then into his neck and chest. He tried to push the ugly beast off him, but he felt his strength draining with each tearing swipe, each one more painful than the last. He knew he was finished and no help was coming for him, and then he heard the ding of the elevator and it opened to reveal an open space, no cab just emptiness. he was lifted up, and with a hearty laugh, the leprechaun threw him into the emptiness and he fell, screaming all the way until the hard THUD!!!! met him at the bottom. then the world began to fade........

That's brilliant.
I pictured the whole scene in my head while reading it.
