Just watching it now. When they return to the control room after having collected Jeff Goldblum, the first shot of JG has him in the perfect Birth of Adam pose from the Sistine Chapel ceiling, complete with bare chest. What's up with that?

I was struck by this scene when I watched it yesterday - never really noticed it before, but this time it made me laugh.

Like he was posing for a centrefold or something.

It was a bit cringey 

It's completely bizarre, isn't it? Whoever would pick him as a sex symbol? Apart from PreachCaleb of course.

Apparently a lot of women find him appealing - can't say he lights my fire but then I don't get the fuss made over the likes of Clooney and Pitt either.

I'd rather have a huge helping of Dermot Mulroney. He could do a Birth of Adam pose for me any time 

Many people. Just check out reviews of The Fly when it came out. Goldblum was sizzling.
