One of the greatest classic films of all time

I really love this film , It's one of my favourites its filled with laughter and heartache a touching film and all the characters were great. I think my fave mother and daughters were Lindo & Waverly and An-Mei and Rose.

I loved this film as well, I'm disappointed to see that it is so underappreciated. Sometimes I wonder about how much the people on this site really know.

7.4? Bull. It's better than Spider-man, Jurassic Park and those others with a 7.4 How is this not on the top 250 list, while Kill Bill and POTC are? (sorry, I cant get over how overrated they are) If only I could understand it, it would become one of my all-time faves!

its almost as underrated as Great Expectations which is my favourite movie (based on Dickens). The joy luck club is also one of my favourites and i saw it after a read the book in the tenth grade. Im surprised that almost no one on this board has read the book by Amy Tan, its almost a contemporary classic! Anyways, the book is one of my favourites aswell, and the movie does do it justice i suppose, but you should definitley read the novel for the full stories, the film skipped many parts
