So where was this body-possessing demon the first time Jason died?

Jason's been dead at least once before that we know of, when he was killed by Tommy Jarvis in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (not to be confused with this film, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday).

I forget, is there anything in this movie that would account for the demon apparently having not tried to hop into another body at the time?

reply

Nope. It was all new stuff put into the movie through newline.

I like the movie though. It's different and not to be taken seriously. If you look at it as a parody, it's fine.

reply

Nope, that resurrection was from lightning. When you have lightning you don't need to possess a different body. Try to keep up son.

Because whether fans want to accept it or not this movie is not connected to the original movies. New Line was not and still is not allowed to use any characters from the previous movies except Jason and his mom Pamela. It's why we have Creighton Duke in this movie and is also why Jason suddenly has a sister, a niece, and a great niece. It's also why Jason suddenly can only be killed by a member of his family with a magic dagger. Truth be told we can't get a sequel to the original movies unless Paramount buys back the rights.

reply

Creighton Duke is the brother of that tough biker guy from part 3

reply

No he isn't. This movie has no connection to the previous films. It's an alternate universe where Jason had a sister.

Thanks for clarifying
