Gabriel Byrne relationship to Don Baker?

I just finished watching In the Name of the Father starring Daniel Day Lewis, which was produced by Gabriel Byrne. The character of Joe McAndrew is played by an actor by the name of Don Baker. As I was watching the film I noticed the striking similarities between Gabriel and Don. They have similar looks and even some of the same mannerisms/swagger and general demeanor. Incidentally they were both born in Dublin in 1950. So far I have been unable to find any factual information to suggest that the two are actually related, but I find it to be too coincidental to be otherwise. Has anyone else noticed this resemblance and/or does anyone have any knowledge of the potentially well-kept secret of a relationship (brothers, cousins, etc.)?

At one time,I seem to have read that Don was an IRA soldier,or what have you?Being an Irishman,I am permitted to say it.
Gabriel Byrne is a top-notch actor-no doubt about it.He should have married a young Irish Lass, don't you think so?
So many people in Ireland are quite good looking, you can spot a beautiful or handsome woman or man in the States and they are usually of Irish descent?
Someone earlier commented on Day-Lewis performance as being good?
Was this person,NOT watching the film or just a bitter Brit?
