Al Pacino Special Thanks?

Why is Al Pacino credited here in the special thanks section? Anyone know?

permission to use his image when they were showing the godfather to the prisoners perhaps?

''He's a Machine'' - Tank

probably just creeping up to him - maybe Pacino is to play Bobby Sands next? Then he can play Osama Bin Laden next.

reply

Because Bobby Sands and Osama Bin Laden are so alike ^o)?

On a related note, anyone see a slight similarity between Daniel Day-Lewis around 1993-94 and Al Pacino in Scarface?

In what way? Looks? If its acting, no way. Scarface had over the top acting that was damn near comical. Name of the Father was introspective and aside from a few outbursts, mostly quiet.

I'm on board with you, man.

I'm sure that the guy above you meant it as some kind of compliment, though. Other than The Godfather, I have no idea what people see in Pacino.

Thanks. IMO, Al Pacino is either really good or really bad. Unfortunately, he gets most of his kudos for his bad stuff. He was very good in Donnie Brasco for example. But if you ask someone to list their favorite Pacino movies, one person out of a hundred will include that one.
