What would you give this? I'd actually give this a 9. I really think this is one of the best movies Eastwood ever did.

Same here. The story features constantly building tension along with some appropriately-spaced humor with riveting action scenes to top it off. Great performances from all around, too.

8.5, maybe a 9 for entertainment value. It's definitely one of his finest movies and probably Wolfgang Petersen's best film. I miss him directing stuff, he was so reliable. Even Poseidon is a more enjoyable disaster film than the schlock we get today like 2012 or Geostorm.
