My guess would be films like, Black Hawk Down, Tears of the Sun, Con Air or Die Hard.

I absolutly love the Hot Shots movies. They are by far my favourite comedies of all time. But I really hope they don't make any more. You just CANNOT have Hot Shots without Lloyd Bridges. Besides, leaving them alone now makes them infamous and immortal - they cannot be touched, if they made another and it wasn't up to scratch then it could lessen the impact of the others

With Live Free or Die Hard, John Rambo and Indiana Jones 4, a late Hot Shots sequel is actually a MUST.
Why not name it TOPPER HARLEY
i'm sorry but i agree with the guy who said it can't be spoofed
i.e hot shots was based on 'miltary, airforce' type of gags
if you spoof mission impossible and rubbish like that it no longer is hotshots but another piece of crap like 'epic movie'
i.e that stupid ad for the trailer of 'epic movie'

plus to the person who said 'hotshot' series was one of the best series...it has nothing to do with series but the director and story writer
take a look at these spoofs on movies these days........eg.
scary movie, epic movie, not another teen movie, meet the spartans
they use it for the excuse to parody movies and thats it,
no good storyboards to tie everything together, cheesy slap stick comedy at the right time eg. topper grabbing a hand full of bullets and killing everyone by throwing it
no cheesy one-liners (but original one-liners) not like epic movie stealing the 'dave chappelle' "i'm rick james b*tch" gag, all these parodies are souless movies, the creator has no movie making capabilities
I CAN PROVE its based on director and great story writers and not just hotshots, take a look at naked gun series they were hilarious
but anything leslie neilsen does now is stupid, and charlie sheen is dumb in scary movie sequels...BAD WRITERS
