dumb Alison; Dumb Witches

In a previous post, I explained how Alison was an idiot. Well, she was, but so were the witches. remember when they were at Max's house but they couldn't get Alison because she was protected by a salt circle, but when they took off, the blast from their brooms knocked Alison's dumb ass on her ass and even damaged the house substantially. My previous point was that they could have directed their brooms purposefully so that when they took off, the blast from their brooms would have concussed Alison's brain and possibly toasted the blonde. Well there blast also dispersed the salt and broke the circle. They could have come back and taken the hapless Alison off to roast her, or turned her into a permanent frozen statue for all to see and showing how dumb she was.

The witches weren't used to 20th century iodized supermarket salt that still pours when it rains. They were used to salt circles being constructed of 8 lb salt licks.

Interesting I didn't know that, but what about my point that the witches could have blasted Alison with their brooms and that Alison was an idiot.

Hmmmm.. I'm going to go with the theory that the witches were certainly evil, but not all that bright... Another possibility is that the explosion of the third floor may have been a one-off. Perhaps Mary floated an air biscuit immediately before departure. It the ignition of the butt dumpling that caused the damage. Possible, no?

I'm inclined to give Alison a pass. While Alison believed in the whole hocus pocus aspect of Halloween and the legend of the witches, she didn't have a play book to go by and did the best she could given the terrifying circumstances. In retrospect, she could have made better choices but in the end, the witches were dead, Dani was saved, and the kids of the town were saved.

Hehe! I like the fart theory, but I will not give Alison a pass. Alison baited Max from the beginning, when they first discussed Halloween at school. She should have known going to the House, lighting the Candle and taking and reading the Book were serious, and possibly, deadly, things to do. When the Sanderson sisters were reanimated it was potentially very deadly. Just think if they had been, evil, smart and quick-thinking witches. Lucky for Alison, who had-she-been-smart, would have prepared for the worst, or at least not tempted fate t all, the witches were more humorous and incompetent than evil and deadly. Because, if they had been quick and evil, old Alison would have been made a toad and splatted. Or been part of a stew. Alison, gets a pas because she is a pretty girl. Had she been some "dude" character who had egged on Max and put them all in danger, he'd of been an idiot. Alison was an idiot. I wish she'd been toasted by the brooms' blast.
