Seriously what a convenience he just happened to be nearby, when he turned up it just ruined the movie for me. What a *beep*

I hated the part when he got mad at Natasha for using a gun to defend herself. You're gonna send her in there unarmed and then get mad when she has to use a gun.

His existence was established earlier in the uncut version, so it wasn't much of a deus ex machina (contrivance) when we see him.
