did the sequal not hit it off the same?

the first movie seemed like a big hit, but the sequal wasn't even available for rental at my towns local video store,
luckily it was shown on one of those 24/7 movie channels, so i still got a hold of it.
i recall that i used to think that there was even a 3rd "grumpy" movie to be released around the same time as the 2nd.

i go throw life with a sadness in my heart,
even though we talk, we don't share the same thoughts,
i smile to pretend nothing is wrong,
i keep it to myself, i walk alone,
but there is a feeling in me,
that won't leave me be,
a sadness in my heart,
that keeps us far apart,
there was a time, when i could see things like you,
but darkness has overtook me, and somehow i can't break throw,
we have diffrent thoughts, we are far apart,
my days are dark, i go throw life, with a sadness in my heart.

There were plans for a 3rd one, but it never came out due to both actor's deaths. However, in 1997's "Out to Sea" they both play similar characters which you may remember as a sequel.

Actually, they were supposed to go to Rome for a honeymoon, but Maria's OTHER husband would have tried to get her back. Then Marcelo died so nothing could come of it.

While not as good as the first one, Grumpier Old Men is still an awesome movie. Both Walter and Jack made "Out To Sea" after Grumpier Old Men, but it wasn't nearly as good as the GOM movies.

A third one would have been produced, but Hollywood decided to waste it's money on Out To Sea and Odd Couple 2.

What a shame!!

Ohhh, it's all so complicated, with the flowers, and the romance, and the lies upon lies.

I think the sequel is as good as the first Grumpy movie.
