It's a great movie. Gets better every time you watch it.

It's one of those comedies that isn't hilarious but it's so damn good and has a great rewatch factor.

I agree with you. I believe if they made it even funnier, it would've gotten less "good."

I think if they tried to make this funnier they would have tried too hard to the point of ridiculous. The premise itself is our there and I'm happy that they didn't make this song screwball comedy.
