Things we learn from Gettysburg.

1. Robert E. Lee doesn't like spies especially if they're also actors. If he could only see the future where spies are praised like James Bond.
2. The ground Buford and his men found is lovely ground for a battle.
3. If you're a colonel and your brother is a lieutenant you don't want him to call you by your middle name.

4. The British have got to do something about that damn blockade out there.
5. R. E. Lee is not descended from "a ape" although the other Southern generals might be.
6. We didn't learn how many of Pickett's ancestors descended from apes.

I only have one person on ignore, but I've had to ignore him 625 different times.

If you are in a battle where people are charging against you and they won't stop coming, the best option after a lot of bloodshed is to charge back at them and they won't try coming back.

8. I learned that that damned Hooker, and that damned idiot Meade, all of them, the whole bloody lousy rotten mess of sick-brained, pot-bellied scabheads ain't fit to lead a johnny detail; ain't fit to pour pee out of a boot with instructions on the heel.
