Music totally changed in the Extended Version!?!

I don't know if it's good or bad....I kind of liked the corny synth music. It's weird to hear real clarinets... For most things it works really nicely, but at times it's not as intense.

Maybe it's me. It just seems like a whole different vibe, the mood is almost more muted.
Anyone else get this from it?

No. It's exactly the same music.

Probably tracked from other cues from the movie, much like the start of Pickett's Charge was taken from the Battle of Little Round Top.
