Let's talk about little miss bubblegum

This is the prosthetic technician that lets Kimble in to clean the blinds. She kind of reminds me of Ginger from The Terminator, chewing bubblegum with a perm. Her fashion is a bit anachronistic, her hairstyle is straight up mid-80's. Maybe she couldn't let go of her glory years?

What I find amusing about the scene, other than her appearance, is just how very concerned she is with the cleaning of the blinds. Like, it really concerns her everytime the blinds move around from being swept. But, she never gets out of her seat to investigate. The scene is weird.

It's been a while since I've seen this, but I seem to remember it was to build tension. Kimble was in a place he wasn't supposed to be in, doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing. As a fugitive on the run, the sense of getting caught at any moment was part of the suspense. Her concern was just about building that about-to-get-caught vibe.

True, it works in the movie world. He could get caught at any time, and not by Gerard, but it could be anyone, even the bubblegum lady.
