(Spoilers) Why did Kimble put the guns in the mailbox toward the end?
I really liked this movie, though it's been a long time since I've seen it. One thing I remember being confused by was Kimble dropping the two handguns in a mailbox after the subway fight and before he confronts the doctor. Why not keep them on hand for the fight with Nichols?
The only option I can think of is that he didn't want to be implicated in the subway cop's death if the police picked him up. Then again, it shouldn't be that hard for them to figure out he didn't do it.
