Did Not Care for the Very End Scene.

In the Very End scene after Kimball fights Nichols at the Banquet, and Kimball than helps save Officer Geards Life, we then see Kimball being escorted into the Car by Gerard after he leaves the Hotel with Gerard, and its as if Kimbal was a suspect again, which at this time, he is No longer a suspect. I CANNOT stand this scene as it makes the veiewer have a False Hope and feeling that Kimball did not really get away from Authority as a Innocent Man, and was again caught.

I would have better enjoyed had they showed a quick scene where Kimball is Re-tried and Aqquited in Court on charges of Murdering his wife.Or Heck, a scene where he goes back to his House, and has a drink afterwards, or something like that.

The Very Ending could have been much better.Just my 2 cents.

I answered this on the other thread too, but I have to agree.

Just me, but I also think they should have brought out Dr. Nichols handcuffed to a gurney or something. It is left unclear to the audience whether he was dead or just out cold, although an imdb blurb says that this is the only Harrison Ford movie whose character didn't kill anyone. Dr. Nichols is a major character, I think, and they shouldn't have overlooked that. (probably also because I like Jeroen Krabbe) Dirtbag or not, the med tech in me would have at least radioed in medics to get him out of there.

He was still in cuffs for show to the cameras. There probably still needed to be a formal investigation into the whole affair.

The authorities weren't fully aware at that point of what we the audience know.

The removal of his cuffs in the police car shows, however, that they realise he's innocent and everything is going to be ok.
