Some questions about The Fugitive

1. How did Dr. Kimble find out what Sam Gerard's name was? Did he see the press conference on tv? Did he see Gerard's name (and possibly a photo) in a newspaper?

2. Why was a police car (unmarked) near Sykes's house when Kimble broke into it? Was it a stakeout for a unrelated investigation in the neighborhood? Or did they think Kimble was going after Sykes (hence Sykes claim that he was questioned a year earlier)?

3. Was Sykes really questioned after Kimble's wife was murdered, or was he lying about that? How about the fifteen people who verified he was out of town- were they covering for him, or was Sykes making that up as well?

4. Why was the Chicago Police Department keeping an eye on Sykes after Gerard wanted him monitored (especially with a squad car)? Shouldn't that have been the sole responsibility of the marshals, especially since it seemed the Chicago Police were biased in favor of Sykes (since he was an ex-cop)?

5. When the transit cop approached Kimble, wouldn't he have gotten suspicious when Sykes came into view, and thus have taken a more cautious approach? And since it was Neil Flynn who portrayed the transit cop, I guess he got his revenge on Harrison Ford (for his character being killed off) when he portrayed an FBI agent in Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls.

1) could be any one of the things you mentioned, kimball as not only a doctor but very resourceful

2) they had a good idea of where kimball was so i'm sure they set up a perimeter

3) sykes killed kimball's wife becuase of a scheme concocted by dr. nichols, et. al., so
they probably had the whole thing, including an alibi, set up for him

4) federal agencies (fbi/dea/etc) oftentimes work with local law enforcement; i'm not sure what leads you to believe they were biased in favor of sykes, i never got that feeling

5) no telling...some cops do impulsive things during intense situations

"i like your movies man, you got a great penis"

About 5 A passanger reading the paper saw Kimble and told the cop he was there. Then when the cop goes in there he sees Kimble and is about to arrest him when Sykes comes in and shoots him dead. I have mentioned this in other topics but Sykes isn't wearing gloves in that scene meaning his fingerprints are on the gun.

Green Goblin is great! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1L4ZuaVvaw

I also want to add that in the original script, the officer asks Sykes to step aside right after he tells Richard not to move.

My guess is he assumed Sykes was perhaps someone attempting to play hero and didn't feel threatened by him, as he did by Richard. The officer would likely have kept his eyes on the only perceived threat (Richard) and wouldn't have focused much on Sykes. This is how Sykes was able to catch him by surprise and shoot him dead before he could react.

3) if there were actually 15 people who did verify Sykes was where he claimed to be could they all be charged with something?
