Hola
Yes, this is one of the most touching scenes in movie history. I dont know why - it just got to me. And with great help of the music...and by the way, guys, soundtracks is fine, but buy the original piece of music. Weir is just using a cut out of 1 og 2 movement of Gorecki's 3rd symphony. Stunningly beautiful, and in a lot of versions. If you guys are american, ill bet you can find one with the soprano Dawn Upshaw who have recorded it with delight. But sometimes you can get a polish (Gorecki is polish) or at least an east european recording - the sound is slightly different from "west" recordings - and better for that music, I think.
There are three parts.
Symphony No. 3: I. Lento - Sostenuto tranquillo ma cantabile 26:47 Dawn Upshaw Gorecki - Symphony No. 3
Symphony No. 3: II. Lento e largo - Tranquillissimo 9:45
Dawn Upshaw Gorecki - Symphony No. 3
Symphony No. 3: III. Lento - Cantablile semplice 17:09 Dawn Upshaw Gorecki - Symphony No. 3
