Was this movie a prequel to The Big Lebowski? Does anybody know? It seems like it is because Jeff Bridges' character acts the same and it shows where the rivalry between The Dude and The Jesus originated from.

One thing that bothers me is that in The Big Lebowski they never explained why he left his family. What do you guys think?

Actually it's a prequel to Thunderbolt & Lightfoot, but its a sequel to Ernest Goes to Prison.

Why is someone crazy just because they think beyond the average realm with the rest of society??? I wish I was clever enough to ponder such a observation.
