Agreed. Another underrated actor. Check out "Echo Park" with him and Susan Dey, a gem of a movie.
shareThank you. Many reviews seem to find Hulce's performance hackneyed and out of place. I for one very much enjoy his performance and believe it actually adds to the impact of this movie. For no other reason, Brillstein, and Turturro's Perlman, provide counterpoint to the central characters and, largely due to their superficiality (which I find believable), their personas serve to deepen the intensity of the protagonists' emotional and spiritual struggles.
