RIP Frederic Forrest: he 100% deserved a Best Supporting Actor nomination.

Nazi Nick was hilariously disturbingly, and his constant negative references to homosexuality betrayed his true status as a closeted "tough guy". One of the biggest pieces of garbage ever captured on screen, portrayed by a truly great actor.

Fred Forrest did get his Oscar nomination for The Rose, but he was even better in this. Hard to put him over Martin Landau in Ed Wood for the '94 Best Supporting, but I wouldn't have complained either way.

24/6/23: RIP Fred Forrest. A legendary character actor.

Yea he was only in the film to make Michael Douglas look like less of a Nazi but still definitely the best part.

You referring to this scene? I would say some folks on the right would champion him.

Forrest has two scenes totalling about 10 minutes of screen time. The second (the one you linked) plays almost like a short within the film. He's not on screen for all that long but the guy makes a hell of an impact.
