how about this. Adele is grown up now and wants revenge for her fathers death so she goes after prendergast , she also bumps in to the Vietnam vet who wanted a sandwich. the film could begin in the same way. Adele is in her car which for a girl is typically covered in pink , she looks around her and there is Justin bieber posters hanging out of a school bus, there is a car sticker saying "How am i driving? google me" she finally loses it and gets out of her smart car and walks off.

Yes and Prendergast has long retired and is fishing and adele could strangle him with a fishing rod or push him into the lake where piranhas eat him up
