Spectacular movie

This a wonderful movie on many different levels;

Want to watch a good movie... yep!

Want to learn about an important event in history... yep!

Want to see some magical performances (ATB)... yep!

Want to cheer and cry... yep!

This is a hidden gem floating around out there. The historic event (LR9) is itself unknown by many people. Nine courageous children enduring the hate and insults of many, while trying to attend school in a new place. Wow!

The acting is top notch, the ways that the various perspectives are shown, the melding of different emotions is just perfect.

Why Disney has not released this on DVD is bewildering?? This movie should be seen!!!

I show it every year to my 6th grade social studies classes and the students are always mesmerized (and only 5% our population is African-American)!!
