That has to be one of the funniest loines ever. After watching this terrible movie for so long i was already in stitches (mainly at how the new and "improved" Abobo looked) but this clinched it :>:>:>:>:>:>
Now, now, don't forget, "Huey, Lewis... Any news?" (Incidentally, Huey is one of the henchmen in Big Trouble In Little China--the guy with the meat cleavers who Jack first sees in his rear-view mirror at the beginning of the fight in the alley! WOOHOO!)
When Billy tells Jimmy to pull over because he sees a girl next to a car. He says "Every night, you see it's my type." He was trying to fix his hair. Then when they do pull over, the girl pulls off the wig, revealing to be a guy and Jimmy says "You're right. She is your type."
And Murph, he should of atleast included Burnov on Double Dragon. It would been a bundle of laughs if he would of played him personally. More reasons to have made fun of his silly remake. Especially hearing his turring on anyone he doesn't like.
I haven't seen this movie until tonight; it's going to be on one of our local channels...I'm excited! I'm going into this full-well knowing it's a "B" movie, but I absolutely adored Double Dragon when I was young, so I'm looking forward to the cheese! Hooray for the 1980's, baby!!
I just watched this movie on the some obscure local network, its a pain to watch. That 'weak like your father' exchange is one of the best things in movie (aside from Milano, I had to throw that in)
I caught some of this last night and it was worse than Street Fighter, if that's possible.
Why did hollywood think it was a good idea to make movies based of video games in the 90s? Did they start running out of ideas or something.
Also, the fighting scenes, correct me if I'm wrong but Wolf knows martial arts. Also, what's his name, the chairman, CAN fight, he's a black belt, or something (can't think right now) and yet his fighting was pretty weak in this.
What I saw of the movie was just plain aweful. I need to see if I can find this online to play just to erase those images from my brain.
It is not easy doing a vid-game-to-movie translation. I wish they'd stop doing it. Hollywood ruined this title, they ruined Street Fighter, and they also ruined Mortal Kombat.
Damn I was gonna mention this line. I would have cried when I heard it except I already had a tear running down my cheek upon the realisation that I had just wasted around 1 and a half hours of my life.
The Tagline should have read;
"One of them can't act, the other has no martial arts skills together they make a one star movie".
Personally, I think the punchline used when the girl says "Why didn't you just take the stairs?" Earlier, Jimmy had suggested they take the stairs; he then turns to Billy angrily and says "Please use other door". I laugh every time, never fails
It was slow motion lame.At one point the gang was chasing them and the bad guys were standing right behind them waiting like someone yelled cut then next scene they were a few steps ahead again.I'm shocked they didn't get Tony Danza to do a cameo after the "whose the boss" line.
I just saw this earlier today and I thought it was pretty fun, I couldn't care less whether it was like the game or not, I honestly never played the original game on account of never owning an NES(though I did play the Neo-Geo arcade fighting game verison of it) I laughed at pretty much every line mentioned on this thread and a few more(I.E. "What a head case!") Didn't enjoy this film as much as I enjoyed Street Fighter The movie though.
