The ending scene

I was wondering if in the final scene, when Alice walks in on Dennis and the mean Lady at work if she planned the incident all along. When she walked out, she looked like she had a grin on her face and used Dennis to get revenge on her.

reply

No she didn't plan it. She went looking for him after he walked out of the daycare centre. But when she noticed he was with her, she knew what would happen and left Dennis to it.

Man that lady was a straight up bitch for sayin "oh I can't help you because I have a life", I think she had that coming to her.

reply

Yeah she really deserved it! I was so glad Dennis was there.

Whether it was planned or not, it all worked out very well. I NEVER saw this part of the ending as a kid, I didn't see it until I got the DVD a couple years ago, so for me it always ended with Mr. Wilson having that flaming marshmallow on his head. But the whole thing with Dennis at work reminds me of a Mad TV sketch when Stuart went to work with his mother.

reply

How come you didn't see the ending? Were you in the theater and walked out the minute the credits started?

reply

Maybe. I hadn't thought of that. It could be that she hoped something like that would happen, since Dennis could accidently cause mischief with people who were jerks, like the thief. Notice he doesn't do it with the photographer or the cop.
