Where was this film shot?

It was set in California, but don't know where it was shot...the only reason I noticed it was set in CA was because the book was set in Vermont and they changed the location.

According to the credits, the movie appears to have been filmed in Lancaster, Piru and Santa Paula, Calif., all of which are in southern California.
