She should've been nominated for a Golden Globe

Did she summited it at all? She was the producer I think but she also hated this movie a lot so there's a chance that she didn't even try to summit this movie for a Golden globe award. I think her performance here is better and more convincing than the one she did in Evita (for which she received a Golden globe for Best actress). Now, she had zero chances to beat Holly Hunter or Juliette Binoche, but the foreign press should've had nominated her for sure.

She was the most praised performer so it's extremely unfair that she didn't received any award or nomination for this. Maybe this movie was very obscure and failed big time at the box office, maybe she didn't summit it and wanted to move on for good but who know?

Do you actually have to summit for a golden globe nod?

The release date may have come too late in the year for a Golden Globe nomination (??) but Madonna in late 1993, early '94 was only interested in softening her image and recording her next album so even if she had been producer it never would have happened, unfortunately.
