No actually I'm not. Watch the movie. Ralph Wilcox the black cop is who I am talking about, when he says to Burt Reynolds we have a witness and Burt Reynolds says who and Wilcox says my son Then when they were interviewing debin in the police station and debin says I have a name and Wilcox says son why didn't you tell us

reply

Okay "son" is just a term used when speaking to a younger person. It's similar in use to "dude". To answer the question, no. He is not the man's son, he seems to be an orphan and lives with his grandmother.

when Burt Reynolds said who is the witness the other cop said my son,

reply

It must be because they are both black

reply

Didn't you mean to ask "was Devin the cop's son?" Lol. Its OK, it's like in "Dumb and dumber" when Jim Carry asks Lauren Holly "what are the chances of a girl like me and a guy like you...?" Funny haha
