For me:
1. More Forest Whitaker and R. Lee Ermey.
2. Sharper dialogue in the family scenes.
3. Drop the romantic subplot. Focus more on Marti and Jenn's relationship.
4. Marti kills her father, but it turns out he's not a pod.
5. More alien Meg Tilly.
6. Mari and Jenn as the remaining characters.
One of the ones I thought was priceless was killing her father and he is NOT a pod. He seemed pretty emotionless when he "rescued" them but an interesting idea for a body snatchers movie is this: In real life during life threatening emergencies some people get very calm so that they can think rationally and escape the situation, its the opposite of panic and internally the person is terrified but outwardly they are able to seem very calm.
Imagine if her father's "emotionlessness" was the result of him trying too hard to keep himself calm and under control so he could make decisions clearly (meaning how the hell to escape and warn the world) and she mistook this as him being a pod?
I would also love it if in a future body snatchers film you had a character that was so boorish and bland (some people are like that) that you (the viewer) assume he is a pod only to be surprised later.
I would just change the ending to be less ambiguous (did the teenage couple survive or what?)

I liked Tim👍🏾. I think both Tim and Platt could work if the film had a extra 30 minutes of story. It seemed kinda rushed tbh. Having said that tho, I really love it as is too.
