It's been a while since I've seen this movie, what was Joon referring when she asked Sam if he learned that at school and he said no, he got kicked out of school for it?

she asked if he learned that at a school and he told her that he was kicked out for doing it from school
he modeled himself after Buster Keaton and I think that this is what it is called.
