Hey, I was wondering if anyone here has seen The Hours and Times. Its another movie in which Ian Hart (John in this movie) plays John again. There's no posts on that board, and I was curious if any fans of Backbeat have seen it. If you have, what did you think of it?

I have seen it years ago. It is more about Brian Epstein than John Lennon. The movie is about Epstein and Lennon taking a vacation to Spain while Lennon's wife Cynthia is pregnate. This is when the supposed sexual between Lennon and Epstein occurred. I found this film disturbing because of this. I think that Lennon was totally into women, but Ian Hart again did a fabulous job on this film. This role is what helped him get the role on Backbeat.
I quite liked ot. actually, I read somewhere (I think it was anthology, because George responded to the comment and I cant think of any other books that was made of specific quotes of theres) where John said that he and Brian had sex. George said of the quote though, that he thought it was just John saying that because hes John. so I dunno. yeah Ian Hart did a very good job. a lot of people ive spoken to who have seen this moviethought he did very poorly, but I thought he was great.

I left a message on the Hours n times page but nobody responded. I was just wondering why there isnt any dvd release...or why there isnt anymore. I saw a copy only once at a used dvd place but unfortunately didnt have the money for it. and thats the last i've seen of any copy! I've been trying since to find another copy! does anybody share in this experience or got any info if they discontinued the dvd?
