Did Anyone Think Lennon Was Too Abrasive?

First let me say Ian Hart did a great job in the role, but I think who ever wrote this screenplay made John too abrasive. Based on what I've read about him, I don't think he was that bitter and agressive. JMO

No, Lennon himself said he was very abrasive and confrontational in his teen and early-adult years (set off by his mother's death when he was 17). He said his later conversion to the "give peace a chance" philosophy was in part a reaction to how he had acted when he was younger.

I heard Lennon WAS very abrasive as a young man. He really grew as a person in his thirties. That was one of the great things about him.

I'm sure he wasn't abrasive all the time either.
