In the VHS version Santee is released whereas on the DVD he is handcuffed and taken away. Which one is the truth? I am very confused and it's the first time I have seen a different ending on the DVD and VHS. Which one is the true version?
shareThe one with the happy ending is the first that was released (and as written in the script) and was used in most territories (and later used in the Blu-ray). The one where he's handcuffed was edited from re-shoots (to give the climax more action and fights) and released in French theatres/VHS and U.S. unrated VHS/laserdisc.
