(Maybe) the most handsome male character in history of cinema

As beautiful as Wynona used to be,she was completely overshadowed by Daniel Day-Lewis in terms of looks.I must admit I've never seen someone more captivating and gorgerous in a movie.

And he can actually act, (best there is at the moment)

Most handsome male "character"?

reply

Christopher Reeve as Count Vronsky in Anna Karenina with Jacqueline Bisset gets my vote but Lewis is very appealing.

reply

I dont think Lewis is handsome so much as he was apepealing. When his character smiles and laughs at Ellen's shocking conversation, or when he as Archer declares he'd rather see Ellen dead than go back to her husband, the intensity of the emotions expressed are tittilating, prescisely because the rest of the time Archer is so correct and bound to polite frigidity.

All that passion smouldering away under a veil of ice. Delicious!

Don't miss him in The Last of the Mohicans -- I think it's the handsomest he ever was.

Yes!! I agree! I haven't seen all of his movies but Daniel was so beautiful in The Last of the Mochicans. But he is pretty handsome in Age of Innocense. He has the most sensual hands and they are very evident in this movie. I just love his long fingers. IMO Daniel is one of the most appealing actors ever. He is much more handsome than Brad Pitt or George Cloony.

I believe Sir Daniel's last name is Day Lewis, not just Lewis (like Sacha Baron Cohen's last name is Baron Cohen).

At any rate, at the end of the movie, he's supposed to be 57. I will say, his eyes look amazing in this screencap that I found but I think in "real life" he looks better at 57...

Here he is now - I think he looks fantastic. I don't see DDL as a plastic surgery guy; I think he just takes very good care of himself.

And yes he's GORGEOUS as a young man in this movie.

I am not sure I would call DDL handsome in the conventional sense of the word, but he is undeniably, enviably elegant and appealing. His hands are marvelous to behold. But for me, the image of Michelle Pfeiffer in the red gown walking solely across the room to meet DDL leaves me palpitating every time. I want to take that with me when my time comes.

Wow Daniel Day Lewis is handsome in any chracatre he plays, even as Lincoln looked attractive lol.

Not but this daniel Day Lewis always play the most perfect boyfriend material: sweet, gentleman like, respect woman and always passionate and maybe the roles he plays is part of what makes him so appealing in the looks department.

His only truly Un sexy roles are Bill the butcher, Daniel plainview and Christi Brown

Try Alain Delon in "The Leopard" or "Purple Noon". Ryan O'Neal in "Barry Lyndon.

reply

I agree completely. Daniel at that age was absolutely gorgeous. Most of the time he uglies himself up for roles, except for this one, and The Last of the Mohicans... It's great to see him look his normal, beautiful self for once ^^

I seriously don't think anyone can be MORE handsome than this. You could find a couple of other guys who are AS beautiful, maybe, but MORE? I don't think so. He's perfect.

Johnny Depp or Takeshi Kaneshiro in their prime(in their early thirties), and possibly, yes, Alain Delon when he was young, are the only candidates I can think of right now.

I guess there is something in the Irish watters because another incredibly handsome actor who Id say is as good looking as DDL in this flick is Pierce Brosnan in the James Bond franchise and The Thomas Crown affair.
