Die Hand Die Verletzt ending Mulder protecting?

Do you guys think Mulder was purposely moving over Scully when it looked like that guy was going to shoot them? Trying to protect her? Or am I making more of this then it was?

LOL I've seriously wondered this for years. I mean not actively, but I recently am rewatching the series with a friend who wanted to try it. We got to that scene and I thought Mulder was rolling over her to try and protect her.

Oh good, you got a general answer to your question :) It's a hard question because it goes into the motivations of the characters and the mindset of the actors and director when it happened.

No, Mulder was always protective of Scully, even to her annoyance. I don't think Mulder had time to think, his move to protect his partner with his body was just instinctive for him.

Yes, I've always thought that from the first time I viewed the episode.

Yes, not that it would've done much good but I like seeing either of them in protective mode :-)
