British Police + Freemasonry
I notice quite a few references Freemasonry in this episode and a few in the last. I've also heard there have been some terrible coverups by Brit police that have led to Freemason cops. True?
shareThere is a long history of senior metropolitan police officers and Freemasonry, though the same could be said of the organization and politics. It is a selective organization, with lots of contacts, especially in the upper middle class. So, you have people in positions of authority and privilege getting together. It probably has less to do with Freemasonry as it does the psychological profiles of people who are attracted to groups like this. these are power seekers and there is strength in numbers.
The Freemasonry aspect gets exaggerated by the media and conspiracy theorists. It's more the actions of the type of individual attracted to the groups, rather than deliberate actions of the group, as an organization. I have relatives that have been involved in Freemasonry and offshoots and they are hardly sinister. They were attracted to the more civic elements. Like any group, there are those who will use the contacts for good purposes and those who will use them for self-serving purposes.
Fortunately, Ah keep mah feathers numbered for just such an emergency!
