Show is NOT racist. Evidence.

The color = race was actually a mistake that had nothing to do with race. The studio didn't even realize what they had done until episode 10, and they apologized for it.

Further evidence that the show is NOT racist is that:

Zack was originally going to be the blue ranger, but wanted to be the black ranger instead.

Trini's actress was originally Audri Dubois (who is not asian), but she was fired over a wage dispute, and Thuy Trang was hired to play Trini instead. Dubois can still be seen in the original pilot episode.

Tommy may have become the red ranger in Zeo and Turbo, but he was the leader at that point, and red was the color of the leader, it had nothing to do with his race.

So no, the show was not intended to be racist. If you still insist the show is racist now that you know this, you're either a troll, or you're racist yourself and are trying to find a reason to justify you hatred.
