So - where did the baby come from at the end of 'Family Hour'
I'm sorry if anyone asked that before - but it totally confused me!

According to this interview with executive producer Brad Buckner,

the baby was Ching and Zora's. They sent him to earth for Lois and Clark to take care of him because a Civil War erupted on New Krypton. The baby was supposed to grow to adulthood in mere weeks, and at the end of the arc, would leave earth to go back to help his real parents on New Krypton.
