His lack of Superhero Powers...

I always felt they underutilized his superhero capabilities.Rarely would Clark Kent "turn" into Superman. I don't want to watch an entire episode of Clark flirting or trying to develop his love connection with Lois. Yes, I know it's character building, but the majority of the time he'd only use his powers if it involved saving/protectin Lois, not the universe as a whole.

And even when he did use his powers it was only for a brief moment at that.

this is the only show/whatever that had lois doing so many crazy things. I mean, he first episode she sneaks onto a freaking 'space shuttle' set to transport to the moon and is rumored to have a bomb on it. why??? and who can be sure if superman didn't exist/show up in time that she would have died for a story? if she were caught, she would have been arrested for trespassing or worse -- accused of PLANTING the bomb!

A lot of the crap she got herself into was her own fault.

I love her but it was.

Reading the paper can really be depressing. Mr. Dithers fired Dagwood again.

Those whole premise of this particular series was to focus on Lois and Clark, Superman as a tertiary character.
