Why did producer Deborah Joy LeVine leave?
After season one.
sharefired.
I went to school with a girl who was on the first season's 'gofer' team. she told me that my favorite character was being replaced [jimmy 1] and that cat was going mysteriously away with no explanation. she also said how great dean and john shea were to work with [and what an uber bitch teri hatcher was!]
she also told me the REAL reason jimmy was replaced. absolutely NOTHING to do with Michael looking too much like dean. Michael wanted like twice the amount he was making. the producers were willing to negotiate multiple times with him... he was making 7000 an episode... he wanted 14....
producers: how about 10thou?
Michael and his agent:how about 14?
P: how about 12 thou?
M a h A: how about 14?
P: goodbye.
and as great as Michael did with the role, he was a no nonsense, serious actor. he did not like any sort of camaraderie on the set - not even at the read table. he was hard to work with, my college friend told me so losing him the way they did was not an entirely bad thing.
Reading the paper can really be depressing. Mr. Dithers fired Dagwood again.
They would've said that everywhere not just one person but possible.
The show has a long history of network meddling.

not necessarily. who wants to deal with the wrath of someone scorned if you broadcast why he was fired?
the truth may be the truth, but now everyone knows how difficult he was to work with. no one wants to deal with that lawsuit.

No body knows that, it would've been on the major sites etc, no one has never said he was difficult and sounds like BS. Since it's only one source everyone will ignore it.
sharedo you really think it would be on major sites?
he could sue. whether it is true or not, things like have a tendency to keep the victim from getting jobs.
I agree that it sounds a little suspicious because not even him being difficult to work with is mentioned anywhere on the web. maybe he was difficult to work with back then.
but it is better to say: he looked too much like the star - than: he kept on wanting more and more money, his agent was an asshat and he was difficult to work with.
the looked too much line sounds like: oh well.
but if he really did look too much like dean cain, then why keep him for an entire year? why not recast the role and reshoot the first few episodes?

You saying it doesn't make it so, you have no proof, other shows don't keep quiet about actors off camera problems.
The show has a long history of network meddling, they wanted major changes after the first season like letting Cat Grant go and having Lois and Clark get together and get married way too soon. A lot of these network or studio guys get rid of cast members or change the premise of the show for cynical reasons. When they let the season 1 writing stuff go they were able to change what they want like a new Jimmy.
now you are being unfairly cruel. welcome to ignore.

What you think your source thats the only one thats liable and valid? and has high standard truths that others don't have.
sharedo you not know what ignore means?

Way too many cast changes after 1 season.
Cat goes, lex goes and jimmy replaced.
I liked the show but it stayed too much the same. They didn't add any new regulars and didn't add more DC villains and supporting cast. Just cheesy villiains and random ones.
I have to give credit to smallville for being less cheesy and really using the DC characters and using them way more.
I like Lois and Clark for the characters and acting. But they sucked at storytelling and villains except lex.
All due to network meddling.
