Pronouncing "Superman"
I find it strange that the people on this show pronounce "Superman" as SYU-PER-MAN instead of SOO-PER-MAN. Seems like the only Superman show that does this?

shareThere was a period of time where certain words were pronounced with soft sounds, such as New York (Nyew York)
I know that it depends on how you were raised to speak. being born in new york from Brooklyn born parents and living in Long island... you'd never be abe to tell that my parents were from Brooklyn and that we were all from Long island. none of us ever had accents from that area.
I saw a clip of some voting reality show that had Katie Holmes on as a judge... she actually said she was 'awn boawd' with whatever was happening. really?
I can understand if you are an actress and you want to get the accent right, like Iola Boyland from Mama's Family... Beverly Archer hounded the writers/whoever to tell her WHERE Raytown was so she could get the accent right.
Oh God. Fortune vomits on my eiderdown once more.
