Is it just me, or does it seem like...

...there's a murder on just about EVERY episode of this program? It is SOOOOO predictable. I'd like to see at least one episode in which Mark, Steve, Amanda and Jesse just sit around a table at BBQ Bob's and drink iced tea and eat ribs for 42 minutes.

Maybe once in a while one of them could say something like "Could you hand me some extra napkins?"

Now THAT would be a show worth watching.

The name of the show is "Diagnosis Murder." That should give you a clue that there is going to be a murder.

I was thinking the same thing. You'd have a clue unless you are a troll, such as the "one and done" OP who has never come back despite numerous replies.

There's no murder in the episode 'Swan Song'.

Nor is there a murder in the episode The Murder of Mark Sloan...Mark survives a murder ATTEMPT.

i think it could sometimes have had other crimes apart from murder, which would have given it a bit more variety. i used to feel the same about Murder, She Wrote.

There were some episodes that didn't have a murder. I don't have the name of the episode, but it was towards the end of the series. An old friend of Mark's, a woman, who is a famous pianist, comes to stay with him for a few days. It soon becomes apparent that she's not mentally well. As the episode plays out, we learn she's having memory issues, and it's the beginning of Alzheimer's.

I just recently found this show (after missing it the first time it came out, I guess I wasn't into that type of show, then) My main question is, after much searching, what is the name of this "fictitious" community, which seems to be along the California coast, near a Marine base?
