Soundtracks...can anyone help?

A few weeks ago i was watching a 1993 episode of Cracker. I can't remember the title but it was about a guy who had done something to children and wouldn't admit it. I'm sorry about the vague details.

Anyway, the soundtrack included "Summertime" and "Stormy Weather" both sung by Carol Kidd.

see link http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0105977/soundtrack

Those songs I recognised but there was another song playing in the background, when Fitz' partner was chucking him out... this is the song i would love to track down.

It was blues/soul, sounded old like 50's or 60's... the only lyrics i could catch were...

don't run away now, be strong ooooh, oooh, aaaah, oooh,be strong,
don't don't cry
you better take your pain
you better hide your tears
ba ba baba ba ba baaad day

Lyrics are not necessarily in that order lol...it's a challenge i know but can anyone tell me the title and hopefully singer of that song? I'd love to buy it.

Gilly :o) xx

I saw the episode (it was about a man murdering women, series one, episode one). I liked the song also. I used Google and found it. It's Bad Day by Carmel. You can find it on YouTube.

You are quite welcome. I have the entire Cracker series and was just re-watching last night when I heard the song. If you like Cracker, you might take a look at Wire in the Blood, which is somewhat similar in several ways.
