Does anyone know why the first episode is titled THE MAD WOMAN IN THE ATTIC?
Maybe I missed a reference somewhere, but couldn't see any relation to the content of the episode
(which was great by the way).

You missed a reference. When he's talking to the guy with the lost memory he says that the memories aren't really gone, they're just locked in the head, like a mad woman in the attic who is waiting to be let out. Or something like that.
I didn't catch it either. I just caught this for the first time on Netflix, this episode is phenomenal, can't wait to continue on.
