'My Life in Kenya'
What's it about?
The world is your lobster.
i think the title is self explanatory...LOL, he planted coffee and was married to a women named Margaret and took care of a boy named Patrick and his family. and as lionel has mention a few times that he never had children of his own.
shareHa yeah, I was hoping someone would do the joke used a couple of times in the early episodes.
-What's it called?

I've been all over the lower 2/3 of Africa and actually Kenya is a fabulous place (when terrorists aren't kidnapping tourists). A safari to Masai Mara was one of the biggest events of my life.
This positively infantile preoccupation with bosoms!Terry-Thomas about US 1963.Hasnt changed much!
Im sure terrorists kidnapping tourists would put damper on things.
shareLionel having been a coffee farmer in Kenya always bothered me. He seemed like the last person on earth that would have done that. It would have been better had they said he was working in accounting or something in the far east. I just think that someone who was supposedly living in Africa all those years would be less smug and formal. More like the image that Alister was trying to portray on the book cover.

You make a valid point but I disagree in that no matter how rough and rugged their surroundings might be, the English would often seek to maintain their "Englishness." This is just what I believe based on what I perceive English colonialism to have been like, but there it is.
