Near the end of the Animaniacs intro where they say "we're animany, totally insany" they have this overhead shot showing all of the characters looking up, there is one character in this shot that I have never seen in the show and I am wondering if it was one that they cut from the show. It looks like a dog but it's not Runt or Buttons, looks gray. Anyone know who this character was or if they had any cartoons in the series?

shareThat's Newt he was a supporting character at best, he didn't appear that often the biggest roles he's had were in "Meet Minvera" where he repeatedly tries to catch Minerva Mink and "Putting On The Blitz" a Rita and Runt cartoon about them saving a Jewish girl and her father from Nazies and he plays the part of a Nazi guard dog who tries to take the girl back to the headquarters.
He typically didn't speak but he did in "Meet Minvera" where was voiced by comedian Arte Johnson, the rest of the time he just barked which were done by Frank Welker.
