Why are new cartoons so horrible?

Whenever I watch this show, I start to feel sorry for today's kids. Whatever happened to the good, talented writers who brought us shows like Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Rugrats, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, etc. Nowadays, cartoons are nothing but fart jokes, grotesque animation, and bland, annoying characters. The only cartoons I can watch without wanting to shoot myself are Phineas and Ferb, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic ( yes, I'm a brony), and occasionally Adventure Time. What happened to good cartoons? I want to know!

I personally believe it's censorship. It's gotten worse. Beware the Batman can't have real bullets, cuz they might offend people. And good cartoons can't really survive with limited censorship

from about 1990-2004 cartoons were the best,
they tried to entertain, rather then sell.
i'm shocked this wasn't controversial, it's basically satire wrapped in a thin veil of calling it a kids show and adding "education" into it.
it might have caused the other great cartoons as well, its before most of them.
but ill stop rambling now.

They try to hard and the material isn't good. It could also be that people are running out of ideas to make something good.

If you was a kid now you would be watching them.
If you wasn't kid in the 90s you wouldn't like the cartoons.
Its the same thing with live action kids shows and any kids movies, shown now.

But you will deny this so I wont bother replying, bye.

Bad grammar aside, you're mistaken. I was born in the 90s, and I don't care for most cartoons anymore, I'll admit. I do however have younger siblings (born after 2000) who also enjoy this show. Adults I know also think highly of this show, and other shows of the 1980s-1990s.

I think that new cartoons are great! Sure, there are still some of the bad ones like The stupid annoying orange show or MAD, but some of my favorite shows are modern like:

Gravity Falls: One of the most creative and genius shows I have ever seen. Plus, I would argue that it is funnier than Goof Troop.

Steven Universe: An extremely creative and beautiful cartoon that is probably the best show on Cartoon Network.

Adventure Time: Adventure Time needs no explanation. everyone loves it.

Regular Show: A very strange but awesome show that isn't censored the hell out of like Disney or nickelodeon nowadays.

The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack: One of the strangest shows I have ever seen but also one of my favorites.

You see, There are some terrible modern shows out today but there have always been horrible cartoons. There are still a few hidden gems out there that need to be found.

I think SpongeBob, Gravity Falls, and Phineas and Ferb are very funny and entertaining, but don't really like any of the computer animated TV cartoons.
