Did Sidney's wife get him to hustle billy?
I don't mean to ask if she told him to, I'm just saying, it looks like he only did it because his wife wanted to get that house.

I don't think it was just Sidney's wife. When Billy takes Sidney home after their first hustle together, Sidney tells Billy that he's got a "fine woman" in Gloria, and Billy takes it the wrong way, telling Sidney to keep his hands off her. They then get in an argument where Billy tells Sidney that he thinks black men would rather look good and lose a game than look bad and win. At that point you could argue that Sidney feels he would be justified in hustling Billy just to teach him a lesson.
